新总部将于2028年启用，把瓦茨大道旧工业区改造为集科学研究、教育与国际合作于一体的现代中心。
匈牙利总理办公室主任古雅什表示，水是匈牙利文化与身份的重要部分，拥有百年辉煌的水上运动传统。
阿尔-穆萨拉姆强调，匈牙利是210个会员国中最坚定的合作伙伴，因此总部选址布达佩斯，感谢政府与体育界的全力支持。
奥运冠军、匈牙利泳协主席弗拉达尔指出，新总部将包含欧洲首个高台跳水训练中心，延续匈牙利130年的创新精神。
体育国务秘书施密特称，这体现国际体育界对匈牙利的信任，也是体育外交的重要成果，新设施将助力本国运动员获得前沿科研支持。
世界泳联执委久尔塔表示，总部将成为全球水上运动共同体的家园，为运动员和国际学生提供学习与交流平台。
World Aquatics broke ground on its new global headquarters in Budapest, calling it “a new era for aquatic sports,” said President Husain Al-Musallam.
Opening in 2028, the center will convert an old industrial site into a hub for research, education, and international collaboration.
Hungary, with a century-long aquatic tradition, was praised as the most committed partner. The facility will house Europe’s first high-diving training center, continuing Hungary’s legacy of innovation.
The project strengthens sports diplomacy and provides athletes and international students a global hub for training, learning, and knowledge exchange.
